Contemporary Iowa Educational Art Win Win Proposal
I will gladly donate my masterpeace "Infinite and Eternal Blessings" to the State of Iowa via the University of Iowa Art Museam to be sold to raise funds for the Art Education Program for Iowa.or to stay in the art collection to make up for the sale of the masterpiece Mural by Jackson Pollock.
Following is a comparison of the two artist's in question.
A letter to the editors, educators, legislators, artists and citizens of Iowa.
If WE sold ARTISTIC assets to create JOBS for the existing ARTISTS in the state, therefore, CREATING more local MASTERPIECES to be donated to local museums...GREAT!!!!
'GREAT ART' has more to do with POLITICS and ECONOMIC GAIN by the wealthy than AESTHETICS and HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE to CULTURE. Can anyone name a masterpiece created by an IOWA LIVING ARTIST?
IF the legislators, board of regents, and university administrators really CARED about ART and ART EDUCATION. They would SELL the POLLACK for as much money as possible and garner as much WORLD WIDE PUBLICITY as possible for PURCHASING LOCAL IOWA ART. If the state of Iowa used THE INTEREST on the sale of the artwork to PURCHASE IOWA MASTERPIECES .....maybe a VIABLE world wide market for IOWA ART could be CREATED.
I have HATED seeing AMAZINGLY TALENTED and GIFTED IOWA artists DIE penniless and unknown. That is the shame of it all, for me. If I could sell ALL my MASTERPEACES to China or Russia or Burma, I would gladly take the gain. With that money, I would create a world wide ART EDUCATION program in one sentence..." WE are all born individual unique miraculous creative artistic geniuses".....I would INVEST the rest of my GAIN in ARTISTS creating and designing MASTERPIECES for CULTURAL WELL BEING.
As THE IOWA BILL is written....ignorance and insanity for the arts continues as part of our state cultural educational well being.
For any and all artists in IOWA who send me a proposal of YOUR 8 foot by 20 foot MASTERPIECE to replace the Jackson Pollock artwork....I will gladly PRESENT a SPACE for your WORK... to share with all the Iowa legislators, university administrators and ALL other IOWANS who care about creating local CULTURE.
Sell the Pollack, circulate the flow of wealth, rewrite Iowa Bill HSB84 .... to BENEFIT ALL IOWANS.
